Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India

Project Location: ZPHS School, Janagam, Narayanapur (Mandal), Nalgonda District, Telangana, India
About the Project: Janagam is a small village with many families dependent upon agriculture and not with formal education. Due to their ignorance about various financial schemes of government they could not make use of those schemes.  This basic banking awareness is also useful for students studying in high school. Volunteers can bring that awareness among them with various works. Also high school lacks furniture and students are attending sessions by sitting on the floor. Providing benches for them will boost their capacity to learn more.

Volunteer work done at CIMA 059-Financial essentials –Providing High School Benches to ZPHS, Janagam, Hyderabad:
1.       Explained about basic Banking needs and benefits of banking to school children
2.       Volunteers actively participated in tree plantation
3.       Guidance given to 9th and 10th class students about career
4.       Conducted games to school children and distributed prizes to the winners.
5.       Volunteers are Handover furniture, books and sports kit to school children and staff.

About Community Impact Month (Giving back is Essential):
McGraw-Hill Financial strongly believes in the motto, ‘Giving back is essential’. It extends to giving back to the society. MHFI launched this year Community Impact Month, in which 20+ employees will come together and work for solving any public problem in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees will spend their personal time for the project. This year S&P Capital IQ employees applied for 100 such projects. These employees work tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to ‘Giving back is essential’.

Naga Valli Devi Ravi (Project Leader): I am very happy that I got an opportunity to serve the Society through my company. It was remarkable experience to reach school children and educate them about Banking. I am satisfied and got good experience in my life with this project.

Vinay B (Co-Leader):  I am very glad to be part of Social activity and lead a CIM Project with the support of S&P Capital IQ. We got very much satisfaction by doing this service to the Society. I learned many things in this project execution and completion. I am always ready to do such activities.

Dinash.P: That was a great day to me. Children at school are so disciplined and quite. Working under Valli madam guidance gave me immense of joy. This CIM project given me an opportunity to deliver career guidance session to children. And through these events we can meet new friends and thanks to all co volunteers who supported me in the event.

Naveen Kumar.M: It is great to serve society for a good cause. Thanks for making me a part of this good cause. These kinds of programs inspire mankind to contribute to the society.
