About the Project: This is a Orphan and Semi
Orphan girls Hostel with 50 students run on donations. Even though students possess intelligence to
get in to good career, they could not get in to due to lack of proper furniture
to concentrate on education. There is a considerable number of drop outs every
year. So imparting the necessity of educating girl students and contribution of
furniture would make significant change in their life.

Activity: Volunteers will teach students on courses after 10th classes and
also on environment awareness like pollution, go green, hygiene, and deliver
those points on CIM day in small interactive groups. In addition to that they
will do planting saplings, conducting quiz and sports competitions and
distributing prizes to students. They will also arrange furniture and sports equipment
to school. They also will motivate students to dream big and achieve big.
Date & Time: 6th July 2015 from 9.30am to 4.30pm

Highlights:
1. MHFI provided Rs.120,000
for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2. Providing Cots, Beds,
Dining Sets and Sports equipment to Students
3. Cleaning the premises
4. Planting the samples
5. Providing Sports material
to students
6. Conducting quiz and essay
writing sessions to students.
7. Career Guidance classes
to students.
8. Conducted games and
distributed prizes
Impact:
There
are 50 students currently enrolled in the school. They will get inspiration
from volunteers and concentrate on their studies by setting clear goals to
learn and grow. In addition to that school will become better equipped with
good facilities.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly
believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its
employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working
together and for solving public problems in their community to build better
lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees
spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI
group www.spcapitaliq.com )

It was
great opportunity to participate in the activity and also looking forward to
contribute more for the community impact. Spending some time with the children,
may be twice in a year and having some interactive sessions with them and trying
to bring awareness on various other aspects would create more impact in their
