About
Community Impact Month (Giving back is Essential):
McGraw-Hill Financial strongly believes in the motto, ‘Giving
back is essential’. It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI
has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be
working together and for solving public problems in their community. MHFI
grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the
project. This year S&P Capital IQ employees applied for around 90 such
projects. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and
render true meaning to ‘Giving back is essential’. Below are details of one of
the CIM projects.
FEEDBACK OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
LOKESH MEDI (Project Leader): My special thanks to one
and all for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to lead a project. Working
for the enhancement of the society means a lot and I am glad for being a part
of it. Our CIM has built lots of confidence and courage in the students to take
bright decisions in their march to success. I am willing to take part in more
and more CIM projects in the coming future.
Sandeep: It was happy to participate in this CIM project. I met school
going children and could understand their difficulties in reading, writing and
practicing good habits. We gave them career guidance and tried to enlighten
their interest levels towards education and discipline. Hope the CIM projects
happens twice every year. Thanks a ton.
Swarup: It is a great opportunity to serve the society. I am feeling
very happy to be a part of this successful CIM event. My heart full thanks to S&P
Capital IQ for giving me this opportunity.
Sameer Kumar Kallakuri: I am extremely happy for
taking part in the Community Impact Month project held at Narsingi. As education
is becoming increasingly important for an average person to be more productive
and valuable to the economy, it is commendable that McGraw Hill Financial has
supported the cause of promoting quality education and empowering individuals.
I along with my fellow volunteers visited the school and conducted career
guidance program for the students; and conducted games and distributed prizes
for the winners.
Sitaram Nukala: I had a great time in volunteering this CIM project,
as this consists of social cause. I love to help others who are in need.
According to me spending time with students and guiding them about their future
are most memorable incidents in this CIM project. I feel privilege to work as a
volunteer in this project.
