– 092-Schemes & Subsidies Campaign and Providing Facilities to Primary School,
Mandanpally on 29th June, 2015
#MHFIimpact
Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital
IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, IndiaProject Location: Primary school, Mandanpally, Aler Mandal, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India
About the Project: Most of the farmers from
small villages are not well educated to use modern techniques of farming and
they still depend on legacy mechanism. Government of India supports them with
many subsides and schemes but lack of awareness about these making them fall
behind. There is a government Primary School in the village which lacks some
basic amenities like hygienic drinking water, furniture and it is in very poor
condition. Seeing this many underprivileged are also diverted towards private
schools. Improving facilities in the school will attract many toddlers and it
will improve financial condition of poor people in village.

Activity: We would like to put an effort in educating farmers about the
schemes and subsidies they can make use for their benefits. Volunteers will
mentor farmers in the village about various beneficial schemes available under
state and central governments. Depending on the capacity and situation of
individual we will advise them about suitable subsides. Along with educating
farmers volunteers will contribute to renovate primary school by setting up
water purifier, furniture, whitewashing and conducting sports and quiz to
children.

FEEDBACK OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
Srikanth
Dharma (Project Leader): I am very fortunate to get this opportunity to lead a team in
serving the society. Thanks to our company and management for giving us a
chance to prove ourselves. My friends and colleagues helped me a lot in making
this a big success, without their support I couldn’t have done this. I like the
concept of giving back is essential, was been part of some programs in prior
years as a volunteer but this time it’s a totally different experience. I got
good experience of executing and seeing the problems with my own eyes. #MHFI
Impact is defiantly a good Idea to serve the society. I should thank Lead India
2020 and S&P Capital IQ gave me the privilege to serve society. No words to
express the happiness I felt after completing this project, it gives me a
special delight because we did it in my hometown. Program was very successful and we could feel
the happiness in everyone’s faces. School staff, children and villages were
very much haply for what we have done and they are expecting to see many more
such activities. I definitely hope to do many more such events in future.
Nookaraju Challa: First of all thanks to
MHFI for given this opportunity. I am really happy to participate in

With
the help of our company we had a great opportunity to do something for the

& Environment of the village was very attractive.

in serving needy. It is really amazing to see the members working very
hard. Here, they have cleaned the premises of school. They donated
1.2 lakh rupees for meeting the needs of the school. It is really very
appreciable and laudable.
School Staff: Children are very happy to see the school in new shape mainly
the paintings on the walls are very useful in educating them. Benches provided
help they to avoid sitting on the floor. Concept of MHFI Impact is very good
and we are very happy to be part of the program this time. With all the
facilities provided we will definitely compete with private schools in the area.
We would like to thank everyone involved in making this happen. A special
