Impact:
It is
said that reading a good book is like communicating with the wisest person in
the world. As Libraries are the temples of knowledge developing it helps the
villagers improve their knowledge. A well maintained library is symbol of
cultural richness and fortunate are the villages which got this facility.
Libraries are social places where people can chat, read and keep in touch with
the outside world. There are 8000 Villagers living in this village. They will
get inspiration, Personality development and knowledge enhancement from Libraries.
In rural areas, the local library, along with the village hall is the focal
point of community life. It’s a safe, trusted place for meeting friends and
neighbors, a place for learning, sharing information, spending leisure time.
About

MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the
project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for
projects from various areas.
FEEDBACK OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
Ramesh Ganji (Project Lead):- It’s a great privilege
that I got a chance to serve the community and that to in my native place
Siripuram. The village consists of a population of around five thousand and
around five hundred out of this are graduates with one stream or the other. To
pursue their career advancement they required a library which will be very
helpful to them. I pursued their problem carefully and approached the village
Sarpanch and head of the schools and they assured me to provide a room in the
premises of the primary school. For that I am very much thankful to my village
heads.
To
establish a library hall I required basic infrastructure and books and through
funding of CIM project I placed order for the furniture and books that required
for the library. Keep in view to the all-ages of people I purchased the books
with the suggestions of the other team members who have participated in the CIM
program. On the day of the program a feeling of festivity surrounded the
village. Though it is Sunday the school children attended the program. The
villagers welcomed us very cordially. I have explained the usage of the library
and the benefit that derived from it. It is one of the unforgettable moments in
my life where by I got very nostalgic and remembered my school days where I did
not get such facilities at all. Reading is not just a habit but it is the
symbol of culture. “Reading make a full man; conference a ready man; and
writing an exact man”. Based on this quotation all will get inspiration and use
the library to the fullest. I would like to thank the CIM project for all the
amenities provided to my village. I hope this will go a long way in shaping the
careers of the students. CIM program has sown the seeds and now it’s part of
the villagers to reap maximum benefit from this.
Sampat Kumar Putireddi:-(Project Co-Lead): It is rightly said that
we are come to this world to serve but not to be served. In this regard, I am
very fortunate to be a part of community service project. For the projects that
have taken up this year under CIM project, I have participated as a volunteer
in the village called Siripuram in Nalgonda district. Though there were several
CIM programs conducted in this village previously but this project is one of
its kinds where a village library has been set up for the benevolence to the
villagers. Our project leader Mr. Ramesh Ganji who belongs to the village
rightly observed the need of the public library and made efforts to fulfill the
project successfully. It is the priceless gift we provide in the form of
library for the entire village where by all the natives of the village can be
benefited from it. Apart from arranging books in the library we also
participated in the plantation of trees on the road side of the village and distributed
notebooks to the students. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. I would like to thank all the volunteers who
have participated in this program. For a service cause- Do not ask how but just
act Now.
Vamsee Krishna Moola: Hurray, I am really happy now and it can’t be measurable with
anything for sure. This is my first attempt to be part of MHFI CIM projects and
I would really thankful to my organization for giving the opportunity to be a
volunteer for a noble cause. Of all, it is a great privilege to serve the
society without expecting any salutation. The triumph of joy derived from these
activities is more memorable than any token of acknowledgement for sure.
Give a
man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for
a lifetime. This is what we have tried to prove by establishing a library at
the Siripuram village. Anything may get destroyed expect the knowledge one
could gain and we have facilitated the same by placing various books in the
library.
Nature
is always being treated as mother and protecting it is the basic responsibility
of every common man. We have believed this fact and planted several plants
across the village and placed the grill sentries to safeguard its nurture.
Sanjeev Kumar:- There are few things which you have never done
in your life, there are few experiences which could easily be considered as
worthy. I can say to an extent that I have had an opportunity to actually
experience one of such time. I have visited “Siripuram” village as a part of CIM
program initiated by my company (SP Capital IQ - MHFI). The program was
basically revolved around “building a library” along with providing sessions
viz – career guidance, life lessons, insights about importance of education to
the students (primary to higher secondary) etc. To talk about the village, I
must say its lot better than any city in likes of greenery, naturally growing
food, handlooms and beautiful serene places all around. When I got off from the
bus and saw the school it struck me to the core. It was really unsettling for
me to see the condition that school was in with limited space, less no. of
chair in the classroom, no facilities in terms of fans, lights etc. But their innocent smile took off all my
thoughts about the harsh condition they were in.
I
happen to meet few very bright and brilliant kids and I was totally taken by
surprise to see their eagerness to learn and ask questions about the future and
how best they can achieve certain things in life. I was sure about one thing
that this day was not only about convincing and educating these children but
also to make them capable enough to face the outer world and I’m sure same
intention was in heart of all the volunteers (my colleagues) who accompanied me
yesterday to make sure that along with education, these kids needs to be taught
more about the life. These kids finds happiness in very small things if it
happens with them, be its getting books, chocolates, little talks, spending
time with them, playing etc. I felt really proud to see few students having
knowledge about so many things including language. Few of them not allowed me
to speak in “Telugu (though I don’t speak well)”, they insisted me to speak in
English and in return they replied each one of my questions. It was nice to see
with so little they have yet to have such a confidence moved me a lot.
I
realized and what we often do, we curse situations many times about lot of bad
happening to us, but after meeting these kids I learned that things could have
been worse. I will never ever forget those genuine smiles. I heartily thank CIM
program for giving me an experience of a lifetime and an opportunity to touch
many hearts. I will always be obliged. Tons of thanks to my friend and host of
this event Mr. Ramesh Ganji without whom I wouldn’t even know about this event.
I really find myself lucky that I got an opportunity to spend time with these
kids and be a part of their lives. Hope
to see their growth in the future and visit them soon.
Lakshmana Babu Kavali :- As part of CIM program we went to Siripuram village
(Nalgonda District) on 28th June, 2015,
where people found sincere and very curios to listen what we were saying.
Especially 10th and 9th class students came to know about library and showed
very much interest in plantation and
helped us to bring plants, pour water
without minding about dust and dirt. 10th class students sang songs
excellently with sweet voice. Students felt very happy and they asked me to
stay back some more time to spend with them. They gave us nice sendoff by
coming up to the Vehicle and I felt so happy by seeing their hospitality and I
saw their concern in their eyes. I will never forget 28th June, 2015 in my life
time, which makes my life meaningful.
