Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India

Project Location: Z.P.H. School, Talamadla, Bhiknoor Mandal, Nizamabad District, Telangana, India
About the Project: This is a government school in which 310 students are undergoing studies. Even though students possess energy and intelligence to get in to good career, they could not get in to that because of missing leadership qualities. Also they don’t have proper furniture to concentrate on education. Making contribution in these 2 areas will make significant change in their life.

Project Leader: Venkata Swamy Vallakati
Activity: Volunteers will gather information suitable to the knowledge of students to train them in various leadership qualities to add value to their life and deliver those points on CIM day in small interactive groups. And also involves in planting saplings, conducting quiz and sports competitions and distributing prizes to students. In addition to that they will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school.
Date & Time: 22nd June 2015 from10am to 4pm

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing School Benches to School Students
3.       Painting Black boards
4.       Cleaning the premises
5.       Providing Sports material to students
6.       Conducting quiz and essay writing sessions to students.
7.       Career Guidance classes to students.
8.       Conducted games and distributed prizes

Impact:
There are 310 students currently enrolled in the school. They will get inspiration from volunteers and concentrate on their studies by setting clear goals to learn and grow. In addition to that school will become better equipped with good facilities.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.


FEEDBACK OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
Venkata Swamy Vallakati(Project Leader): It’s a great honor for me to have had the opportunity of handling this CIM project. Under this project, we have collected wastage/garbage from Villagers as well as counseled them about it. We donated Scholl Benches and Sports Kit to the School, and have motivated students towards reaching their goals and to be a good human being. We also planted saplings in the School ground. It’s a great experience. Thanks to my volunteers for their support.

Mahesh Goudigama: First of all I would like to thank you for providing me this wonderful opportunity to serve the society. It is my distinct pleasure to serve along with other volunteers, who despite of their busy schedule made their way to go that Village and participated in such a wonderful program. On a personal front it gave me a tremendous self satisfaction and I was delighted to work under your leadership. Please make me a part in your next year’s project.

Devender Lakkam: I am very happy to be the part of this wonderful project, which allowed me to work for the welfare of the society.  I got immense pleasure and self-satisfaction as I try to give back the society something though this project.  This is possible only because of MHFI! Thanks for giving me an opportunity to serve the society. And also thanks to Venkata Swamy for giving this opportunity as part of this great project.

Nagababu Dirsipo: It was a very happy moment, being a part of this project. In this project we went to a school, where we enjoyed a lot with students. Through this project I got an opportunity to serve the society. My thanks to Mr. Venkata Swamy for gave this opportunity.
