Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India

Project Location: ZPH School, Pasnoor, Thungathurthy(Mandal), Nalgonda District, Telangana, India
About the Project: This is a government operated school run for educating underprivileged students from rural background. They don’t have proper facilities to accommodate their studies.
Non Profit Partner: Vandemataram Foundation (VMF)
Project Leader: ChinmayaRaghu Maroju
Activity: provided Career Guidance; Desk Benches, Water Purifier, and Note books, as well as communicated Eco-Friendly habits to the villagers.
Date & Time: 22nd June, 2015 from10am to 5:00pm
Number of Volunteers: 20

Highlights:
1. Provided Water Purifier to the school, as the school in a place where fluoride content is more in water. Providing water filter made a great impact in that community.
2. Provided Sanitary materials and plumbing work required for facilitating water filter.
3. Guidance given to 9th and 10th class students about career
4. Communicated Eco friendly habits to the villagers of Pasnoor
5 Volunteers actively participated in communicating Eco –friendly habits to the Villagers of Pasnoor
6. Volunteers Handover furniture and books to school children.

Impact:
308 students of this school students got benifited with the water purifier we provided; and the benches we provided will have a impact on students in perfect seating to listen the lectures with attention, which will impact their performance in their exams.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.

ChinmayaRaghu Maroju(Project Leader): I am very happy that I got an opportunity to serve the Society through MHFI. I am very much happy about that we have provided water purifier to a school in fluoride area, which made me impressed more about MHFI. Students felt very much happy in the project, such that when someone came to do something for them. I am thankful to all volunteers who made this event great success. Looking forward to have like this opportunity to serve society and thank you So much to all.

Swarupram Kumar Gonthina (Co-Leader): I thank you for providing me this golden opportunity to serve the society. It was a good experience in visiting Pasnoor school in Nalgonda district, where students are very energetic in participating career guidance program.

Sitaram Kumar Nukala : I felt very much happy in conducting eco-friendly campaign to the villager, which will have a great impact on villager to manage their premises neat and clean. I am very happy as a part of that project as a volunteer. I would like to say thanks to MHFI for conducting this kind of events.

Narsimha Reddy Ginnaram: It is a good experience to interact with the children in Pasnoor project in Nalgonda district. Their enthusiasm is impressive. I also communicated that as I came from a rural background and got a job in a MNC company, if you do hard work then success will never leave you. I thank all the other volunteers for their cooperation for making it’s a big success.

Praveen Kumar Kolloju: I felt very responsible in communicating Eco friendly habits to the villagers of Pasnoor. We explained through a picture format to have a great impact on them. I would like to thank our company for providing me the opportunity to participate in this project.
