Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital
IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India
Project Location: Z.P.H. School, Nandi
Waddeman Village, Bijinapally Mandal, Mahaboob nagar District, Telangana, India
About the Project: This Project to be held at Nandi Waddeman, Mandal Bijinapally,
District Mahaboob nagar where around 250 families live. Due to their poor
economic background and other cultural issues, they don’t use wash rooms and
use roadside lands for their nature calls. Government of India recently
announced a scheme to allow subsidy for constructing wash rooms at house. But
due to their ignorance about the procedure many people not yet applied for
that. If proper education and assistance is provided, they will come out of
that situation. In the same village there is a primary school with 150+
students and they sit on the floor to attend their classes.

Project Leader: GUGILLA NARESH
Activity: 250+ families will be benefitted because of assistance to go for
washroom construction. This will also bring cultural change and enhance their
dignity. 150 students will have better class room to study well.

Impact:
There
are 150+ students currently enrolled in the school. They will get awareness in
sanitation from volunteers and they will also get good furniture which will
improve their attention and concentration. This will also bring cultural change
and enhance their dignity.

MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees
would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to
build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees
spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad
(part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various
areas.
