Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India

Project Location: Z.P.H. School, Duppalli, Athmakur Mandal, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India
About the Project: This is a government high school run for educating underprivileged students and lacks various basic facilities like chairs to teachers and benches to students, Our equipment’s and guidance to students necessary to make that school as a better place for education
Project Leader: Suresh Maddipati
Non Profit Partner: Lead India 2020 Foundation
Activity: Volunteers will gather information suitable to the knowledge of students to train them in various leadership qualities to add value to their life and deliver those points on CIM day in small interactive groups. And also involves, planting saplings, conducting quiz and sports competitions and distributing prizes to students. In addition to that they will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school. They also will motivate students to dream big and achieve big.
Date & Time: 6th July 2015 from 10 am to 4pm
Number of Volunteers: 12

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing School Benches of 30 for 150  School Students
3.       Cleaning the premises
4.       Providing Sports material to students
5.       Conducting quiz and essay writing sessions to students.
6.       Career Guidance classes to students.
7.       Conducted games and distributed prizes
8.       Distribute 150 Note books to students

Impact:  There are 150 students currently enrolled in the school. They will get inspiration from volunteers and concentrate on their studies by setting clear goals to learn and grow. In addition to that school will become better equipped with good facilities.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.
