Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India

Project Location: M.P.P. School, Brahmana pally Village, Gundala Mandal, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India
About the Project: Raising awareness about the effects of alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse. Make aware about harmful outcomes associated with alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. Prevent/reduce alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. In addition to that school of that village lacks proper furniture for studies. Providing that will help students to improve their performance in studies.

Activity: Facilitating benches, computers and note books to the school. Conducting exhibition by Volunteers regarding effects of tobacco and alcohol to the village people and motivating them to avoid chewing tobacco and alcohol.
Date & Time: 21st June, 2015 from10am to 4pm
Number of Volunteers: 22

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing School Benches for 110 High School Students
3.       Cleaning the premises
4.       Providing Sports material to students
5.       Conducting quiz competitions
6.       Career Guidance classes to students.
7.       Conducted games and distributed prizes
8.       Explaining about the tobacco and alcohol to the village people

Impact:
There are 150 students will have good facilities and 100+ village residents will get knowledge about consequences of addiction to substances..

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.

Sandeep kumar Goli(Project Leader): I am so much happy for being a part of this program, each and every movement I felt very proud to work for the children; I would like to thank MHFI for conducting such a wonder full programs for the development of our society and also like to congratulate each and every volunteer who gave their helping hands for serving the poor children and  explaining about the tobacco and alcohol how to effect the human body  and motivating them to avoid from the tobacco.

Pream kumar Voona: It felt an heartfelt appreciation to the CIMA project which provided me the opportunity to become a part such an charity program which not only gave me chance to change something in the society but some to motivate those children towards education and cleanliness. Those were great and unforgettable moment spends with those young children reminded me of my childhood

Ashok kumar Maddi: It is a great opportunity to participate such kind of programs organized by our MHFI. I was greatly enjoyed on the day and get deeply involved in few programs like Career enhancement program for school children and sports conducted. I am thank full to MHFI as our MHFI conducting such "Community Impact Month

Praveen aitha: It is an eminent and very satisfactory experience. Though this is my debut as a volunteer to a CIM event, it gave me immense pleasure to go and contribute to a healthcare facility in a remote area without many facilities. I thank Prem Kumar Kumar & S&P Capital IQ for giving me this opportunity to contribute. I look forward to visiting more such projects in future.

Vijay kumar Burugu: I am very happy to be a part of this CIM event at Begumpet. It allowed me to mingle with colleagues as well as the project staff and share my thoughts. I look forward to taking up more such projects in future.

Siddu Jada: It is a great opportunity to participate in this program. Service with enjoyment.

Ganesh babu Amalapuram: Firstly I am thanking full to MHFI as conducting such a great inspirational social welfare programs like "Community Impact Month". It’s been a great opportunity to participate in CIM by our MHFI. I was greatly enjoyed on the CIM day and get actively involved in Career enhancement and conducted various sports to children. It is showing our MHFI Commitment towards social responsibility.
