Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital
IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, IndiaProject Location: Utthatoor Village, Ramannapeta Mandal, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India
About the Project: Uttatoor village is predominantly agriculture based and
consisting of below poverty line families. There are 300 women who are
unemployed, because they could not go to field works due to their physical
fitness to that work. If we can train and facilitate some stitching machine
industry at their village that will create additional Income for those

Activity: Volunteers will help the society to procure necessary machinery,
fittings and install the same in the proposed unit. Volunteers also will give
necessary training for accounting, administration and marketing. In addition to
above we provided 2 Garbage collection cycles for clean and green of village
and planting saplings with tree guards in the village and conducted awareness programed
on clean and green .

Highlights:
1. MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for
procuring materials and expenses for the project
2. Providing 10 stitching
machines
3. Training for accounting,
administration and marketing
4. Providing 2 Garbage
collection cycles
5. planting saplings 50 with
tree-guards
6. Conducted awareness of
clean and green.
Impact:
There
are 300 women currently unemployment in this village. They will get employment
from our project; In addition to that we will provide wealth to poor women by
self-employment. This also will become role model for other villages to come
forward with similar ideas.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly
believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees
to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and
for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger
communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time
on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects
from various areas.

Praveen Shivakoti (Project Leader): First of all I thank this
community for giving me such an opportunity for doing such a valuable service
to the society so my sincere thanks to S&P Capital IQ, It is not easy to
spend personal time in doing community services like this. There should be a
lot of effort, dedication, planning and execution is required. Really
appreciate the efforts of Volunteers. Thanks to all volunteers who made this
event great success. It was really my pleasure to get chance to do service to
the community.
Thirupathi Garige:
I feel
honored to be part noble cause, and I feel great to be part of this CIM program
where we provided stitching machine to village, it is provided employment to
village women and they earn additional income.
Naga Somesh Pallotu: This was my first CIMA,
to take part in this I felt really very much happy. I promise that I will take
part in upcoming CIMA. I like to thanks to my entire colleagues for giving me
the opportunity to serve people, I would like to see in future more opportunity
for this type of social activities.
Ram Kumar Akumarthi: It was a wonderful time and
learning experience for me and I am thankful for S&P Capital IQ and whole
team members for giving me this opportunity. It was one of the memorable and
happy days in my life with all of you.
