Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India

Project Location: UPS, Kummera Village, Chevella Mandal, R.R Dist, Telangana, India
About the Project: This is a government run charitable school in which 80+ students are undergoing studies. Even though students possess energy and intelligence to get in to good career, they could not get in to that because of missing leadership qualities. Also they don’t have proper furniture to concentrate on education. Making contribution in these 2 areas will make significant change in their life.

Project Leader: Vamshidhar Reddy & Nagaraju Bhakthapuri
Activity: Volunteers will gather information suitable to the knowledge of students to train them in various leadership qualities to add value to their life and deliver those points on CIM day in small interactive groups. And also involves, planting saplings, conducting quiz and sports competitions and distributing prizes to students. In addition to that they will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school. They also will motivate students to dream big and achieve big.
Date & Time: 28th June, 2015 from10am to 4pm
Number of Volunteers: 20

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing School Benches for 80  School Students
3.       Cleaning the premises
4.       Providing Sports material to students
5.       Conducting quiz and essay writing sessions to students.
6.       Career Guidance classes to students.
7.       Conducted games and distributed prizes
8.       Providing of 35 Street lights.

Impact:
There are 82 students currently enrolled in the school. They will get inspiration from volunteers and concentrate on their studies by setting clear goals to learn and grow. In addition to that school will become better equipped with good facilities.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.

Prabhakar Chintapatla :- CIM was an amazing experience. It is a great thing to help children enabling them to study and inspire. I am grateful to be a part of this event and I thank the event manager Vamshidhar Reddy Boda for conducting such a wonderful and successful event.

Jagan Babu Sunku:- It’s a good opportunity for me to be a part of the event for  a meaningful impact, as well expanding our network and had great fun.

Gandla Rohit: I felt very happy, working for this particular CIM program, since it was providing   street-lights for the economically lagging village and providing the students with their necessities, it was like giving back the essentials. I would like to thank my colleague Mr. Vamshidhar Reddy Boda for bringing up their issues and resolving them, I also want to appreciate S&P Capital IQ for encouraging such type of programs for the benefits of the society.

Raghuram Sripelli :  I am very happy to say being a volunteer of this project and I spent one day for this kind of service its great an opportunity for me.

Chandra Gupta Jami -I am glad that I have been became part of such a nice event which has huge impact on society. I just want to take this opportunity to thank all who have been part of this event and made it memorable to me.
