Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India

Project Location: Z.P.H. School, Kodur village, Mahboobnagar Mandal & District, Telangana, India.
About the Project: This is a government run charitable school in which 250+ students are undergoing studies. Even though students possess energy and intelligence to get in to good career, they could not get in to that because of missing leadership qualities. Also they don’t have proper furniture to concentrate on education. Making contribution in these 2 areas will make significant change in their life.
Project Leader: Madhu Sudhan Goud
Non Profit Partner: Vandemataram Foundation.
Activity: Volunteers will gather information suitable to the knowledge of students to train them in various leadership qualities to add value to their life and deliver those points on CIM day in small interactive groups. And also involves in painting blackboards, planting saplings, conducting quiz and sports competitions and distributing prizes to students. In addition to that they will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school. They also will motivate students to dream big and achieve big.
Date & Time:  6th July, 2015 from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Number of Volunteers: 18

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing School Benches for 180 High School Students
3.       Painting Black boards
4.       Cleaning the premises
5.       Providing Sports material to students

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.


FEEDBACK OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
Swetha Darshi: Really, participating in CIM gave me a meaningful experience and also a feeling of excitement while meeting unknown school students. I tried my best to impart some knowledge to the students and they were very supportive and made by task easy. Whole day went so well and I thoroughly enjoyed. I am blessed to be a part of this project and hope to continue in future projects as well.

Kamalakar Peta: It was great experience for me to share my thoughts with next generation. I found wonderful team coordination among team members which was really required to make it grand success. I was inspired a lot by observing the spirit within them. I would like to thank Madhu Sudhan Goud Chukkala and Vandemataram foundation for giving such a wonderful opportunity.

Divya Raavi: I am happy to say my heart full thanks for giving me this opportunity to serve the society through this CIM project. I have learnt many things in this event from the volunteers & I have enjoyed a lot with the children since they have shown interest to participate in all the events. Team leaders have a good planning & they put their best efforts to make this event successful.,

Saritha Kommuru: It was good experience to me. VANDEMATARAM foundation gave me such a wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts with students. I remembered my school days while I was sharing my knowledge and conducting the games. All students actively participated in activities like quiz, career guidance, elocution and Indoor, outdoor games which was conducted by my team. Team leaders Madhu Sudhan Goud Chukkala and Vamshi Krishna Thodupunuri did hard work to make the CIM project a grand success.

Lalappa Ningampally: This is my second project in this year. Every time it was a new experience which is memorable in my lifetime. Interacting with students, conducting quiz competitions, spending time with school children everything is memorable & reminded my school days again. I would like to thank our company & the project leaders who made this possible through their commitment. There was an excellent coordination by all the team members who made the things possible which are generally impossible to do it by self.

Mohammad Gouse Shaik: It’s been a wonderful & memorable experience again to be part of this social activity. Interacting with students, conducting quiz competitions, spending time with school children everything is memorable & reminded my school days again. It is nice to see student’s enthusiasm about this event & their active participation is beyond our expectations. I have learnt many things in this event from the volunteers. There was an excellent coordination by all the team members who made the things possible. I would like to thank our company & the project leaders for giving me a great chance.

Ravi Kumar Nagadesi: Last but not least of this project is filled with lot of cherish able memories. It’s a wonderful learning experience with all of my co participants. Every volunteer is unique with lot of hidden talents and proved in reality in the project. Everyone has exhibited their talents one way or the other and proved their service is worth. Looking at the zeal and enthusiasm of every volunteer all the students got inspired and actively participated in all the activities and shared their happiness. It is a good exposure for all of us to be part of this noble cause. I thank one and all for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
