CIMA – 091 - Propagating Personal Hygiene & Providing Facilities at Primary School, Aourpally, Mahaboobnager on 4th July, 2015

Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India.


Project Location: Primary School, Aourpally, Aourpaly Village, Madgul Mandal, Mahabobnagar District, Telangana, India
About the Project: This is a Government School situated in a small village. School is situated in old building and needed whitewashing and cleaning. Also students don’t have furniture to sit in class room for studies.
Non Profit Partner: Lead India 2020
Project Leader: Naresh Mudi.
Activity: Volunteers will procure materials for painting and white washing. Also they will procure material required for water tank installation and furniture. On CIM day they will work on painting the school, plantation, installing water tank and arranging furniture. They will also meet parents of the students and discuss about need of personal hygiene and they will share tips of doing so
Date & Time: 4th July, 2015 from 10am to 4pm.
Number of Volunteers: 15

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing School Benches for 50 primary School Students
3.       Cleaning the premises
4.       Providing Sports material to students
5.       Conducting quiz sessions to students.
6.       Conducted games and distributed prizes
7.       Painting the doors.
8.       Volunteers meet parents of the students and discuss about need of personal hygiene.

Impact:
This will facilitate 50 students to get good facilities for their studies. 100+ village residents will get knowledge about personal hygiene.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.
