Project Location: Rudrama - Hostel for Orphans, Indira Seva Sadan (I.S.Sadan), Sagar Road, Hyderabad, Telangana, India
About the Project: Rudrama - Hostel for Orphans is initiative of Vandemataram foundation to provide shelter for undergraduate girl students (orphans) so that they can become self-sufficient in their life. Due to lack of income source they could not provide proper furniture and facilities in accommodation. Providing those items will make their life comfortable.

Project Leader: Venkata Siva Krishna Prasad Sure
Activity: Volunteers will consult women welfare and entrepreneurship training centers and collaborate with them and get required material for training. On CIM day they will meet students in small groups and educate them about various options for self-employment and also tell them about skills required to become good entrepreneur. In addition to that they will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school. They also will motivate students to dream big and achieve big.
Date & Time: 28th June, 2015 from10am to 4pm
Number of Volunteers: 20

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing Lockers to students to keep their belongings safe
3.       Educate them about various options for self-employment
4.       Providing Sports material to students
5.       Conducting quiz and essay writing sessions to students.
6.       Career Guidance classes to students.
7.       Conducted games and distributed prizes

Impact:
45 students will get better living facilities at hostel. 150+ students learned about entrepreneurship skills and options for women.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.
