Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India.

Project Location: Ippatoor village, Nawabpet mandal, Mahaboobnagar District, Telangana, India
About the Project: 300 people of this village will get awareness about environment protection and that will add value to village. Due to prevailing power cut, they are facing shortage of water. Constructing mini water tanks will be the solution. Water tanks construction will solve day to day drinking water needs.
Non Profit Partner: AADARANA
It is established to provide help to underprivileged sections of the society with accommodation, education, knowledge and guidance. Aadarana is dedicated to provide various community services to make this world as better place

Project Leader: Annu Kumari Singh
Activity: Volunteers along with villagers inaugurated all the water tanks, Villagers shared their happiness with the benefit of the tanks built. Volunteers shared their thoughts of productive use of food & water, and also discussed about the healthy environment for the welfare of the society and their own family. We mostly interacted with the ladies of the village to make them share their views and distributed gifts to motivate them.

Impact:
Since water is the most required basic needs so Water tanks will solve the day to day struggle and can save lot of time for them. This kind of activity will lead their Moral boost up and satisfaction to leave a better life.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.

Annu Kumari Singh (Project Leader): This was the 2nd time I participated for this kind of event and I am completely satisfied by accepting this opportunity. I am very much in thanks to Our Company. Interacting from School kids to village people is more like getting aware about our roots and future, looking forward for the next experience of life, with my company & all the supporting teams.

Ashok Nary: It was great pleasure to me for part of this glorious event. I have learnt many things in this event, my teammates are very friendly didn’t get bored even a single second in event. It’s a rainy day we did great job motivated villagers and told them importance of natural resources, plantation and pollution…etc. We have done the best in stipulated time (One day). I want to thank my Team leader for inviting me this great social benefited event.

Shaikh Shavali: I have been participating to this kind of project as a volunteer and I am very happy to be the part of this always, which allowed me to work for the welfare of the society.

Pawan Krishnukumar: I am thankful to my company & leader for asking me to join such event; even though I was not able to interact with local people due to language constraints I am pleased with the experience. We need to do lot more things and get to know our people.

Sivakumar Reddy: I am very happy to be the part of this project, which allowed me to work for the welfare of the society. I got immense pleasure and self-satisfaction as I try to give back the society something though this project by Interacting & sharing thoughts with village people.

Sanket Sahoo: I will thank my Company that every year they are doing this activity and giving us a chance to be a part of it, this is not only for the benefit of some Village or School but I can see it is the Growth and betterment of our Future & Country we live in.

Bala Manikanth Grandhi: I want to thank my company & Project team Leader Miss. Annu, so that I participated for this event. It was a great experience for me as I learnt our other side of Responsibility apart from my own Family to take care there are lot many other families where we should find some time & look for their needs.

Villagers Feedback: We are very Thankful to S&P capital IQ & all the Team Members who came to Our Village and spent time with us and asked us our daily routine life and problems we faced. This kind of activity will help to grow our lifestyle & our Children’s Future.
