CIMA – 048 - “Build your Future in School” Campaign and Providing Facilities to U.P. School, Arepally, Medak on 29th June, 2015

Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India.

Project Location: Upper Primary School, Arepally SB, Doulthabad Mandal, Medak District, Telangana, India.
About the Project: This is a government school in which 85+ students are undergoing studies. This school facing huge amount of dropout students every year due to lack of awareness of education in students and villagers moreover they don’t have drinking water facilities with in school premises. By our project we created awareness in students and villagers by conducting ‘Build your Future in School’ Campaign and rally in village and school.

Activity: Volunteers will do the campaign in village to create awareness on education, need to gather data of various school drop outs and go to door to door and meet them, discuss and understand reasons for their discontinuation and guide them on how their short term efforts will lead for better future. In addition to that we will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school and.
Date & Time: 29th June, 2015 from10am to 5pm
Number of Volunteers: 25

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing Bore and Motor facility to the school
3.       Providing School Benches for 80 Upper primary School Students
4.       Painting Black boards
5.       Cleaning the premises
6.       Providing Sports material to students
7.       Conducting quiz and essay writing sessions to students.
8.       Career Guidance classes to students.
9.       Conducted games and distributed prizes

Impact:
There are 85+ students currently enrolled in the school. They will get inspiration from volunteers and concentrate on their studies by setting clear goals to learn and grow. In addition to that school will become better equipped with good facilities.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.

Ramarao Gajula: First of all I Thanks to S&P Capital IQ for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to serving to society. I initiated this project with inspiration word of “GIVING BACK IS ESSENTIAL” of our company concept; really this is a good idea to serve back to society. Through this project I have succeeded in return something back to the society. The children in the school were facing drinking water problem. Through this project we have provided bore well and motor facility to the school to solve their water problems.

Punna Reddy Gangasani: It’s really a good initiative (project motive itself) to help the children, spending time with them, conducting Quiz or some activities it really reminded me of my School days (my childhood days where I came from similar school & village). Also team collaboration, involving all of us in various activities is a good move.

Murali Krishna Siripilli: I am very happy to be a part of this wonderful project, which allowed me to mingle with Children and colleagues. Great opportunity to serve the society, very happy to be part of this successful CIM event, I look forward to visiting more such projects in future.

Abhilash Kumar Kona Srinivasa: First of all, I would like to say thanks for accepted me a part of this CIM project as a volunteer. This is a good opportunity to serve the needy people and involving with the people. I felt so much happy to help others as much as. I learned so many things from this. I observed team work, motivation, guidance and other things. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one who initiated this kind of projects
Venu Nalluri: Great opportunity to serve the society, very happy to be part of this successful CIM event at UPS Arepally, Making the basic facilities available for the School, conducting games, quiz competition to children and distribution of Prizes, gave an immense pleasure for me. Kudos to Ramarao Gajula for good co-ordination and manage the project. Thanks Ramarao and S&P Capital IQ for giving me such a wonderful opportunity. I look forward to visiting more such projects in future.

Chiranjeevi Rao Chitrothu: CIM Project which attended is organized in a good way. I liked it. It is an opportunity for me to take part in social responsibility activity in the way of this CIM project.
