Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India.

Project Location: Satkama High School, Pragathi Nagar, Kukatpally, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana, India
About the Project: Satkama is a charitable school providing education to underprivileged. There are many government jobs available but students with systematic study only can get in to those. These students are not aware of ways of learning those skills and there is no proper fencing to the school ground.

Project Leader: Durga Prasad Rao Salla
Activity: Volunteers will gather material for preparing for competition exams and will train students with intensive coaching. They will also assist to construct fencing to the playground and educate them to face the future challenge and also encourage them to play sports so that they can develop themselves mentally and physically strong. They also motivate students to dream big and achieve big Goals.
Date & Time: 20th June, 2015 from10am to 4pm
Number of Volunteers: 23

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Plantation
3.       Conducting quiz and essay writing sessions to students.
4.       Career Guidance classes to students.
5.       Conducted games and distributed prizes

Impact:
There are 150 students currently enrolled in the school. They will get inspiration from volunteers and concentrate on their studies by setting clear goals to learn and grow. In addition to that school will become better equipped with good facilities.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.


FEEDBACK OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
Y.Narayana: The CIM program that took place few days back was one of the happiest moments in my life. I am very thankful to Mr. Durga Prasad for providing us such an opportunity where we can share our ideas & suggestions regarding the future education for the students. This was really feeling very good like regular outings as well as social welfare contribution from our side. We should have these kinds of gatherings at regular intervals so that we can actively participate in shaping the society. This also gave us an opportunity to plant few plants which helped us to have a hand Go Green & Telangana Haritha haaram programs. To conclude we are proud to work in an organization like Capital IQ, who conducts these type of CIM programs in a broad way to have a helping hand to the poor. We are so thankful to S&P Capital IQ, Inc. for giving this opportunity to do so.

G.V.Prakash: I am very happy to say that I have worked as one of the volunteer in our CIM project “COMMUNITY IMPACT PROGRAM First I would like to appreciate being a social responsibility in selecting this project is an important job. From the day beginning I was working with enthusiasm coordinating with our team by planting trees and playing with school children and distributing books etc. I felt more satisfaction and the day I will mark as most memorable day in my life. Once again I am thankful for giving chance in COMMUNITY IMPACT PRORAM.

Kalyan Srinivas: We Conducted Excellent activities and students also participated actively in this program like Plantation, Quiz Program, Games and Showed lot of interest in Career Guidance Program. We gave how to face the competitive exams after completion of their school. I really thankful that S&P Capital IQ for given me an opportunity to be a part of CIM Project.

Dhana Kumar: It is a very wonderful experience to serve people as a citizen. We conducted career guidance program to the children for their bright future. I enjoyed a lot with school children by spending time with them and playing games and distributing books and prizes.

Sunil Babu.V: I am happy to participate in CIM Project. Really wonderful experience and fully enjoyed play with students. I would like to participate every.

B. Sai Durga Prasad (10th Class Student): I was glad that I was the part of the program organized by S&P Capital IQ Company. By that we came to know many things about life. What decisions we should take in our life, how things are done in our life, how the actions are taken the important role in our life. They also explained the role of confidence and how we should take right steps in our life.

E. Anvitha (10th Class Student): The Program conducted by S&P Capital IQ was very knowledgeable and interesting. By this we got some idea about our career planning. The charts they gave are very informative, so that we can choose our Higher Education according to our interest after 10th class. The quiz conducted by them is very interesting and we also participated very enthusiastically.

Hemanth (10th Class Student): It was an excellent event that had organized by the S&P Capital IQ Company. The thing had like most was Career opportunities will help us in future to reach our ambition. That was an excellent company for choosing career opportunities

K Nirmala (10th Class Student): I felt very happy to listen your words. I have inspired by your inspiriting words & I have learnt a lot of manners, I have spent a time with you with joyfully. I want to become like you. I have learnt that the education is not the matter we should use it in the right position. We should be discipline we should play and should study. We should have Time Management, Self-Discipline, Planning etc. then we can be at a good position. I am happy to spent with you a day.
