Update about service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ (www.spcapitaliq.com) - Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), Hyderabad, India.

Project Location: Z.P. High School, Puligilla, Valigonda Mandal, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India
About the Project: This is a government Zilla Parishad High school has 190 strength and run for educating underprivileged students and lacks various basic facilities like proper furniture, library, and sports equipment to engage students. Also there are many students from that area drop out from school because of various economic and social factors. They are unaware about value of education and how it can support their survival. Volunteers can bring that awareness among them with various works

Project Leader: Karunakar Reddy Pailla
Activity: CIQ Volunteers arranged in round table with 10-12 students accompanied for every table, they provided guidance for the students on their further education, goal setting and study techniques in their selected field with the help of flow charts and graphs. In addition to this, Volunteers were arranged the furniture & other equipment in the school and also involved in cleaning the school premises and conducting games to the students.
Date & Time: 22nd June, 2015 from10am to 5pm
Number of Volunteers: 20

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Provided School Benches for around 190 High School Students
3.       Cleaning the premises
4.       Provided Sports material to students
5.       Career Guidance and quiz classes to students.
6.       Conducted games and distributed prizes

Impact:
There are around 190 students currently enrolled in the school. They will get inspiration from volunteers and concentrate on their studies by setting clear goals to learn and grow. In addition to that school will become better equipped with good facilities.

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial ( www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group www.spcapitaliq.com ) employees applied for projects from various areas.

Karunakar Reddy (Project Leader): Its really great feeling to do CIM in Puligilla High School where I have studied by sitting on the floor, but now the students are sitting on the benches with provided furniture to them by MHFI, Students are shown up their happiness in their smiles and also the most important interactive session is Career Guidance, Made really success. Naveen: It was great day on june 22 2015 at “Zilla parishad School at Puliglla.” Day went with lot of activities (conducting games, competitions, and interactive sessions). We have shared the knowledge by educating the higher students of the school with different education systems / ways after their SSC and suggesting them the attributes which are required for their future. We also cared their current problems by providing the educational needs like books, stationery and sports material. Lastly, I would like to congratulate ‘Balender Kola and his team’ for planning and executing the event successfully.

Sreenivasulu Bandi : I am very happy to be part of this CIM project providing books, sports kit, benches, make awareness the student’s and career guidance, conducting quiz program, it’s very good respond from students and thankful MHFI to given this great opportunity as a part of CIM project .

Shilpa Shamraj Tirchunapalli: It was pleasure participating CIM Project @ Puligilla on 22nd June, 2015. The day went on with lot of activities like conducting games, competitions, and interactive sessions. We have shared the knowledge by educating the higher students of the school with different education systems / ways after their SSC and suggesting them the attributes which are required for their future. We also cared their current problems by providing the educational needs like books, stationery and sports material.

Hari Prasad Dasari: I am more happiness to be share this CIM Project providing furniture, sports kit, Making plantation trees, and more than this very good speech given by our volunteers, school teachers and colic’s, to motivate students. I hope Students has inspired which was given classes by our volunteers.

Saritha Bodapati: I felt very happy to be a part of CIM Project @ Puligilla on 22nd June, 2015 it was my first CIM I really felt happy to spend time with children and it was wonderful experience to interact with the students and teaching the career guidance.

Shiva Prasad Padiga: I hope that CIM Project would prove a step forward in channelizing the energies of our employees. It is high time to aware and educating students to make schools are more prosperous. I am sure that the Foundation will continue to serve the Society with more zeal and dedication. Finally I’m very happy to participate CIM Project @ Puligilla
