About CIM (Giving back is Essential)
Lead India 2020 Foundation (www.leadindia2020.org) partnered with McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ (part of MHFI group) (www.capitaliq.com) employees applied for projects from various areas. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to 'Giving back is essential'.
Below are details of one of the CIM projects.
About Govt. ZPHS School, Peddamangalaram
The Govt. ZPHS School is located in Peddamangalaram Village in Moinabad Mandal in Rangareddy district, which is around 26 KM from our Hyderabad Office.
Approximately 230 students are studying in this school from standard I-X.
Current problems:
The school is lacking in certain in certain basic infrastructure, such as benches, stationary racks, and sports equipment. The toilets, doors, and windows are in bad condition. Toilet only has partial roof.
Volunteer work done at the School:
Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at the School on June 23rd, 2014.
Conducted a session on the value of learning and education in life.
Cleaned the premises of the school
Distributed stationery to all school children.
Donated sports material to the school.
Donated 30 desk benches to the school.
Conducted games and distributed prizes.
Provided water pipeline connection from tank to toilets.
Helped in the renovation of toilets and painted the doors.
Conducted health and educational awareness campaign for parents and villagers.
Impact of Volunteer work:
After the CIM project, the headmaster and the teaching staff have promised that they will conduct games in the school by using our sports materials and make the school a fun learning place. With the provision of students will be able to concentrate better on their studies. Through the sessions we were able to create a zeal for education in students.

Arjun Kumar Chatla: I am feeling very happy to express my experiences from our CIM project. It is very helpful to the school children. It has also reminded me my responsibility towards the society. I enjoyed all the activities of this project. Plating sapling reminded me the need of trees to control the global warming. While conducting quiz programs and elocutions, and playing with kids reminded me of my school days. I am very much thankful to the company for giving me this opportunity.
Ibraheem Mohammed: This is my first CIM program. I am inspired by this program. It’s a very good concept & good platform to help the poor & needy. It’s a very good opportunity for the working people to serve the society on their weekends. I am interested to attend the future programs as well.
