About Community Impact Month (Giving back is Essential)
Lead India 2020 Foundation (www.leadindia2020.org) partnered with McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ (part of MHFI group) (www.capitaliq.com) employees applied for projects from various areas. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to 'Giving back is essential'.
About Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School:
- Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School is located in Shankarapally, Rangareddy district.
- The school has approximately 300 students in primary and high school.
- It is continuously getting good results for SSC students competing equally with surrounded private schools.
Current problems at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School:
- Lack of washroom facilities for both boys and girls.
- Lack of benches in primary and high school.
Volunteer work done at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School:
Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School on June 28, 2014.
- Constructed washrooms for girls.
- Donated sports material.
- Conducted a career development session for high school students.
- Conducted various competitions, such as quiz, essay writing and other sports.
- Arranged a life skill program for students in partnership with Lead India 2020.
Impact of Volunteer work at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School:
After the CIM project, the school now has washroom facilities for girls, which will enable them to lead a hassle free and hygienic lifestyle. As a result of career development session, the students now have awareness and action plan towards their careers. The life skill program taught them how to plan and lead a ideal life.

It was a great feeling to spend our time for a noble cause. I felt very happy after seeing smiles on the faces of school children, nothing can replace that feeling. I thank S&P Capital IQ for giving me this opportunity.

I am very happy for being a part of this corporate social responsibility activity. I had a great time while interacting with students, and advising them about their future studies. It was nice feeling to see happiness on the faces of future generation. I would like to participate in more projects like this.
