About CIM (Giving back is Essential)
Lead India 2020 Foundation (www.leadindia2020.com) in partnership with McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com), a company, which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential' handles various community impact projects. It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be working together for solving public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ (part of MHFI group) (www.capitaliq.com) employees applied for projects from various areas. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to 'Giving back is essential'.

Below are details of one of the CIM project that has completed on 01st of June 2014.

About PHC-Toopran:
  1. PHC-Toopran is situated in Medak District and is located at a distance of 50Km from Hyderabad.
  2. This PHC plays a vital role in serving health needs of below poverty line people.
  3. Around 60 outpatients are treated every week, apart from those during the regular field visits in the rural areas.
  4. Around 35 pregnant women are being treated in the process of giving birth to a baby.
  5. Due to Snake bite and Dog bite, at least 20 people are treated monthly.


Current problems:
As of now, the female ward is having only six beds and these are not at all sufficient to serve the pregnant women, as well as the area next to the existing female ward is dumped with a lots of wastage.

Volunteer work:
Keeping the above problems in view, S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad has conducted a CIM project on 01st June, 2014.
  • Constructed extension to the female ward with additional beds
  • Painting to the existing delivery ward.
  • Cleaned the premises.


Impact of the project

  1. Improved facilities and beds at the PHC will now result in better treatment to the mothers and to be mothers.
  2. Improvement of sanitation and cleanliness will directly result in a speedy recovery of patients.


Feedback of Volunteers:
Veerraju Nalluri: It is our responsibility to serve the society around us. I feel proud that I participated in one such program. It was a wonderful experience spending my time for society. Thank you for giving me a chance to participate for the betterment of society.

Bhabani Prasad Barik: It was a great experience for me to be part of this group and work for a nice cause for our society. I would like to thank the S&P capital IQ family and our project leader for this.

Hari Kishan Gottimukkala: I am very happy to be part of this program and I hope with this contribution the PHC would help more patients in this area. I am very much satisfied with the time we spent on a social cause. This is definitely be one of the good days in my life. Thanks to the people of the PHC for their warm welcome and their hospitality, as well as to all friends who volunteered and to our organization for giving this wonderful opportunity.

Bheemu Naidu Mahanthi: We rarely get a chance to do something for the people in need, I got a chance through this event, and am feeling very happy that I got an opportunity to serve.

Subramanyam Tallapalli: I am very happy to participate as a volunteer to help the Society & it's a wonderful experience for me. I am thankful to Srirama Prasad Kandukuri and S&P capital IQ to provide me such a wonderful opportunity.

Mukesh Vaddapally: Caring for the people beside you is serving GOD. I thank you all for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve people in need. This type of event inspires me to do more and more activities like this. I am proud to be a volunteer of this CIM event.

Venkata Rama Krishna Chaitanya Lingamallu: This is one of my best and memorable moments as I was a part of good team working for good cause. Thanks to Srirama Prasad Kandukuri and S&P Capital IQ for such initiatives. I am looking forward to be a part of more such events that are useful to the society.

Gokulnath Gunda: It's a great experience for me serving as a Volunteer for the Society & it's a wonderful day in my life. Thanks to all volunteers and Thanks to S&P CIQ, and the leader for giving this wonderful opportunity.

Kaibalya Rout: In our working life we rarely get chance to work for society. But this event enabled us to work for society for a good cause. Thanks to S&P Capital IQ and Project leader for giving such an opportunity. This event can't be successful without support and cooperation from the staff and patients at Toopran, Primary Health center. Heart full thanks to Toopran, Primary Health center.

Venkata Lakshmi Adda: I am very happy to be a part of this CIM event at Toopran. This event provided me an opportunity to contribute my services to the society along with my colleagues. Thanks to Srirama Prasad Kandukuri and S&P Capital IQ.

Prakash Adluru: It is great to serve society for a good cause. Thanks to project leader Srirama Prasad Kandukuri and S&P Capital IQ for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to be part of many such events.

Feedback of Dr. Sadhana, Head of PHC, Toopran:
I am happy to tell that I got to know, work, and spend time with S&P Capital IQ Organization people. This Organization is doing a great job and all the young friends are so enthusiastic and working so hard and well by forgetting their own cadre. They worked whole heartedly to improve the needs at our PHC. I am very glad and thank the team for the same.

The Organization (S&P Capital IQ) is doing a good service to the people in need. It is really amazing and heartening to see the members working very hard in the hot summer. Here, they have cleaned the premises of PHC Toopran very neatly. They are donating 1.2 lakh rupees for meeting the immediate needs of the PHC Toopran. It is really very appreciable and laudable.
