It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ (part of MHFI group) (www.capitaliq.com) employees applied for projects from various areas. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to 'Giving back is essential'.

About ZPHS-Begumpeta

Government High School with 174 Students upto 10th class

Current problems at ZPHS-Begumpeta

The ZPHS Begumpeta presently lacks of basic amenities, such as toilets, school Desk Benches, plants, Note Books, and Sports material.

Volunteer work done at ZPHS-Begumpeta

Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at ZPHS-Begumpeta on June 16, 2014

  1. Renovated students and staff toilets.
  2. Provided class room desk benches and tables.
  3. Distributed books and stationary to students.
  4. Cleaned school premises.
  5. Distributed sports material.
  6. Conducted a career guidance session for 10th class students.
  7. Conducted an environmental awareness session.


Impact of Volunteer work at ZPHS-Begumpeta

  1. Provided amenities will enable students to pursue and concentrate on their education in a better manner.
  2. Improved hygiene and greenery will lead improved health resulting in improved school attendance
  3. Career guidance session made students aware of enormous available career options.

It’s a great opportunity to serve the society. I am very happy to be part of this successful CIM event. I am really happy that our company is conducting CIM projects for the development children’s education. It is good social service program. We are not giving money to any one but material supplied based on requirement of students, thus eradicating the chances misuse. This program is motivating in more than one way, when we entered in Begumpeta they are very happy to see us and thanked S&P Captial IQ for this project. All the students, teachers, Sarpanch, MEO, and others attended appreciated our project. They are very poor students and we played a small role in helping them and inspiring them.

It is a very eminent and satisfactory experience. Though this is my debut as a volunteer to a CIM event, it gave me immense pleasure to go and contribute to educational facility in a remote area without many facilities. About at PHC- Reddypally

  1. Primary Health Centers play key role in serving health needs of below poverty line rural people
  2. PHC-Reddypally situated in Narsapur at Medak District
  3. They treat around 100-120 outpatients per week, apart from regular field visits in the rural areas.
  4. PHC provides general out-patient consultation, and gynaecologist and baby delivery services


Present problems at PHC-Reddypally

  • The PHC Reddypally lacks of proper shelter to the outpatients
  • It is having a very narrow road from the main road.
  • No drinking water facility to the patients and staff.

Volunteer work done at PHC- Reddypally.

Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at PHC-Reddypally on June 02, 2014

  1. Provided the shelter in front of the Primary Health Center for outpatients.
  2. Expanded the road connecting Primary Health Center to main road
  3. Provided the drinking water facility with water purifier and water cooler
  4. Cleaned and planted saplings at the PHC premises.
Impact of the project

The repair of the connecting road will enable patients to reach the PHC safely and quickly. The Shelter and water facility will ensure that patient’s condition does not deteriorate before doctor the attends them.

Its a great opportunity to serve the society through my company and I am very happy to be part of this CIM event. Working for the welfare of society gives happiness and satisfaction. Volunteers and Primary Health Center staff gave me lot of support for completion of this project. Being a volunteer of CIM Project, first I would like to congratulate to Ramesh Vunnam for successful completion of this project and thank him for giving me an opportunity to serve the society through this project. It was a wonderful opportunity to help the patients by providing facilities to them. The patients were very happy during our interaction. I got an opportunity to attend the CIM project, this is a special day in my life. I met with poor people, who were under treatment, interacted with them, and distributed fruits to them. About Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School
Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School is situated at a distance of 80 KMs from Capital IQ, Hyderabad office. It has students studying from Nursery to class X.

Current problems at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School
Though the school has 180 students, it does not have proper infrastructure, such as toilet and sports equipment.

Volunteer work done at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School

Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School on June 16th 2014


  1. Construction of new toilets, as well as renovation of existing toilets.
  2. Planted saplings at school at premises
  3. Conducted essay writing, quiz, and singing competitions to students, and distributed prizes
  4. Conducted career guidance sessions to higher class students
  5. Educated the students about the importance of clean environment
  6. Donated sports equipment to school

Impact of Volunteer work at Sri Saraswathi Sisu Mandir High School:


  • Provision of toilet facilities will reduce the school drop outs
  • These facilities will protect students from certain diseases, as well as motivates them to keep themselves and their surroundings clean.
  • Due to career guidance, now the students have knowledge of various career options

Praveen Kumar Kolloju (Project leader)
Taking up a GVD project gave me lot of pleasure. S&P Capital IQ provided me an opportunity to work for a social cause. Being the project leader, I not only organized the project, but myself have learnt many things and developed leadership skills. My colleagues supported a lot in making this project a successful one. Overall, it was a great experience. I would like to take up many such GVD projects in future.

Sameer Kumar Kallakuri :
An Impact made!! visiting Saraswati Sishu Mandir (Jadcherla), being a part of the GVD, and interacting with the student over there was a memorable experience in my life. The school lacked proper sanitation facilities and as a part of our project, we renovated them. We also handed over sports kits and prizes for the winners of the competitions conducted by us. It's the work that I feel good about emotionally, mentally, and physically. It has a tangibility and was rewarding. I thank the company for having given me an opportunity to be a part of this project.

Joshi Rachanour:
I am very happy to participate as a volunteer in this CIM project. I feel that it is my responsibility to serve or help the needy. I feel proud that I have participated in one such program. It was a wonderful and joyful experience for me to spend my time with friends and school children. Thank you for giving me a chance to participate for the betterment of society.

This project has reminded me of my responsibility towards society, as the project being my first CIM project in MHFI. It was a heartful experience serving society and I am happy to be a part of this project. I really felt “Giving Back is Essential”.

I am feeling happy to be a volunteer in the GVD project. It had a wonderful time with my friends and the children. I thank each and everybody responsible for giving me a chance to be a part in this project.

I felt very happy for being a part of this corporate social responsibility activity. It was wonderful to spend time with students and advising them about their future studies. I have seen happiness on their faces on that day as they realized that there are people around to help them. I would like to participate in more projects like this.

About at Mini Water Tanks- Konyal

  1. Storage of water is the basic necessity for the human being which we had provided to the villagers to store the water.
  2. With this project we provide nearly 250 families have been benefited.


Present problems at Konyal Village
No Drinking water facility in the village.

Volunteer work done at Konyal.
Keeping in mind these problem, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at Konyal on June 14, 2014

  • Creating the awareness about the usage and cleaning of drinking water to the villagers.
  • Involved in construction of the water tanks.
  • Small groups of Volunteers went to the homes and created the awareness about the environment.
  • Conducted a carrier guidance session to the students.
  • Created awareness in villagers on the harmful effects of plastic bags.


Impact of the project
  • Village now has a drinking water facility
  • Villagers will conserve and utilize water, and decrease the usage of plastic
  • Students will choose a career option based on their interests

I have an intention to serve the society and I believe this is a god given opportunity to work for the society on behalf of my company. I'm very glad to be a volunteer of this CIM Project. I genuinely felt that we were doing something important and worthwhile for the community. Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to do my bit in solving the drinking water problem in Konyal village. I saw the happiness in the eyes of village people after using the drinking water facility. The interactions with villagers were very nice. I also guided them on water usage and wastage reduction.

It’s a worthy project through which we fulfilled the basic need of the people, water. I was happy that apart of the provision of water tanks, we were able to propagate the idea of water conservation. We urged them to save the water as it is on of the god’s precious gifts to mankind.

As a volunteer of this CIM Project, first I would like to say my special congratulations to CIM leaders (Mr. Srikanth Panduga & Mr. Ramesh Vunnam) on successful completion of this project and also thanks them for giving me this opportunity to serve the society by the way if constructing mini water tanks. It was a wonderful opportunity to help the villagers by providing some basic facilities to them. The villagers were very happy and enthusiastic through out our interaction. In addition to the above, we all together conducted Water Storage Awareness Programme for villagers and made them understand their responsibilities towards the society. We also guided students on how to balance their personal and social goals. This CIM Project trained villagers very well. I was actively involved and enjoyed this opportunity along with all other Volunteers. I hope and wish to be a part of similar activities as much as possible.

About Kondakal Z.P. High School

 

Provides education to children from 6th to 10th classes.

It has school strength of approximately 500.

 

Current problems at Kondakal Z.P. High School:

The school lacks basic amenities, such as benches and chairs

As the students are from rural back ground don’t have enough knowledge on available career options

 

Volunteer work done at Kondakal Z.P. High School

 

Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at Kondakal High Scool, Shankarpally on June 16, 2014

 

Provided 40 school benches, sports kit, and notebooks to the school children.

Provided career guidance and environmental protection classes to students of all classes.

Arranged Lead India life skills Training program for students.

Organized games and essay writing competitions for students.

 

Impact of Volunteer work at Kondakal Z.P. High School

 

After the CIM project, the school has benches to eighth, ninth, and tenth classes, which enables students to concentrate better on their studies

With awareness on career options students will now choose the area of their interest wisely
