About Community Impact Month (Giving back is Essential):

McGraw-Hill Financial strongly believes in the motto, ‘Giving back is essential’. It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ employees applied for 84 such projects. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to ‘Giving back is essential’. Below are details of one of the CIM projects.

CIM Highlights of Renovation of Primary Health Center at Kowdipally, Medak district:

About CIM Project:

Kowdipally Village is situated at a distance of 95 KMs from Capital IQ, Hyderabad office. Primary health center, Kondapur doctor approached me, and explained their problems as,  suffering from scarce of resources like  I) Lack of medical facilities in operation theater and Lab II) Damage of building and drainage system etc.. I have communicated these problems to Prabhakar Sir.

Keeping these problems in mind, S&P Capital IQ Hyd conducted a CIM event at village Kowdipally on 06th July, 2014.

Volunteer work on GVD day:

1.       Providing medical facilities in Operation Theater and Lab
2.       Building Repair works
3.       Resolving Drainage Problem
4.       Beds Repair works, providing Bed Sheets and door curtains
5.       Interaction with patients
6.       Helping hospital staff in organizing the hospital
7.       Other carpentry repair works.


Impact of CIM project at Kowdipally village:

Now the doctors are able to do the tests like blood test and urine test with in the hospital premises, before this project they used to go to Medak for these tests. By providing Air Conditioner, now the operation theater equipments are working efficiently. By the repairing works to hospital infrastructure, now they are able to use properly, before this they were not worked properly.


FEEDBACK OF THE CIM VOLUNTEERS:

Nagaraju Bhakthapuri (Team Lead): It is a great opportunity to me to lead a project and I enjoyed a lot while conducting the event. It is my first volunteering project as a lead and I learnt a lot from this. I feel happy to say “This project has done successful by the co-operation from all of my friends who have given their support and valuable suggestions, I heart fully thanking you all “. This project has given satisfaction to me towards social service and I have been eagerly waiting to lead few more projects and I am planning to conduct this event at my village (VI: Madhtapally ii) MD: Regonda, Warangal).

Surendra Raju (Co-Leader): It’s a good opportunity for me to be a part of the event for a meaningful impact, as well expanding our network and had great fun. My special thanks to my event manager, Nagaraju who gave me an opportunity as a co-leader of this project.

Sathish Mandha:  For me this is a wonderful feeling to spend one day for the society and I am happy to say we did a good job on the event day. We have cleaned hospital premises and provide hospital equipments to the hospital, it is help full to rural people to get good medical facility within their premises, and this is the reason made me full of happy and joy.
My Special thanks to Nagaraju and Surendra Raju for organizing the event successfully.

Venkatesh Tegulla: My special thanks to Nagaraju and Surendra Raju who gave me this wonderful opportunity and I wish them to conduct few more events like this. I enjoyed and learnt a lot in this event.

Vamshidhar Reddy Boda: My special thanks to Nagaraju and Surendra Raju for giving this kind of opportunity really its good experience to me. I learnt much from this event and enjoyed a lot with my co volunteers in this event.

Paparao Bolligorla: It was an immense pleasure to be a part of such programme. I have participated in painting to the beds and distribution of fruits and bread to the patients. I gave few suggestions to the patients on protections of good health and importance of making habit to take good and healthy food. This event gave me a chance to spend a day to serve my society, I really thankful to Nagaraju and Surendra Raju.

Sita Rama Prasad: I am extremely happy with the time on event day. I thankful to Nagaraju and Surendra Raju who gave me this wonderful opportunity and I wish them all the best to conduct few more events like this. Have a good day.

Guru Murthy: I would like to say thanks to Nagaraju who gave this wonderful opportunity to be a part of their event and enjoyed much more at the event. I want to be a part in some more projects like this.

Divyagna (In charge Doctor) Primary Health Center, Kowdipally: I am very very special thanks to The S&P CAPITAL IQ and Lead India 2020 Foundation members for choosing my (Kowdipally) village for CIM service. Under this program you have provided us Olympus Microscope, Air Conditioner, Bed sheets and Door cartons etc… These are very use full to the patients to test and diagnose their decease immediately with in the hospital premises. This gives the valuable medical facilities to the patients as quick as possible. Once again I thankful to Nagaraju, and we are expecting you to conduct few more events like this in our hospital.

Chandraiaha (Patient), Primary Health Center, Kowdipally: I thank full to S&P Capital IQ, Inc. for conducting such a event which is helping to rural areas. Really this is good idea to providing Microscope and Air Conditioner to our hospital. One weak before I went to Medak for blood test, but now I can test here itself and I can save my time and money. I really thanks to you all.
