Update about the service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ, www.spcapitaliq.com, Hyderabad - (Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial www.mhfi.com )

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com ), the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 3+ employees would be working together for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $1000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group) employees applied for projects from various areas of the Nation to serve the society under Employee Volunteer Grant (EVG).

Project Location: M.P.U.P. School, Chengizkhan Pet, Edlapadu Mandal, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India
About the Project: M.P.U.P. School is located in Chengizkhan Pet Village which is nearly 295 KM from our Hyderabad Office. It is running under State Govt. control. This is Upper primary school and More than 130 students are studying in this School. All the students originated from poor and under privileged community. This School does not have minimum infrastructure like Toilets facility, and Benches. It also doesn’t have Drinking water facility

Activity: Handover the computers to the School Staff and Opening of Water Motor
Date & Time: 28th Dec, 2015 from 10am to 2:30pm

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.60,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Volunteers are handover the computers to the School Staff and Opening of Water Motor.
3.       Educating the children’s about the Environment and career.

Impact:
Previously students were suffering with water problem. They carried water through cans by using hand pump and they didn’t have water storage facility. Now Students are very happy because we provided running water facility by fixing motor pump, construction of water tank & wash basin and repairing the wash rooms. By providing 2 computers, students got a chance to build up the computer knowledge.

Sampath Thota:  I am very happy to be a part of this EVG event at Chengizkhan Pet. It allowed me to mingle with colleagues as well as the project staff and share my thoughts. I look forward to taking up more such projects in future.
Rama Krishna Gangula: a great to serve society for a good cause. Thanks for making me a part of this good cause. These kinds of programs inspire mankind to contribute to the society.
