About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 3+ employees would be working together for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $1000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group) employees applied for projects from various areas of the Nation to serve the society under Employee Volunteer Grant (EVG).

Project Location: Z.P.S.S., Appalanarasimhapuram, Nelakondapallly Mandal, Khammam District, Telangana, India

About the Project: Z.P.S. School is located in AppalanarasimhaPuram Village which is nearly 200 KM from our Hyderabad Office. This School has more than 200 students and all the students are from agriculture and daily labor families. This School doesn’t have minimum infrastructure facilities like Drinking water, benches, sports material and Books racks and Electricity For classrooms.

Activity: Facilitating Water purifier and 6 Benches to the students, providing sports material, iron racks, Iron cupboard, Fans, Lights, Distributing books and conducting career guidance program to the students

Date & Time: 14^th Dec, 2015 from 11am to 5pm

Number of Volunteers: 3

Highlights:

1. MHFI provided Rs.60, 000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project

2. Volunteers are Handover furniture and sports kit to school children and staff.

3. Cleaning of school premises

4. Provided Career Guidance to the students.

5. Conducted Games to the school children and Distributed prizes to the winners.

Impact:

Through this project, now the students can drink Pure water and can sit on the benches and able to pay attention for their classes. For library, we have given Iron racks and Iron Almira for encouraging students for reading more books And also we could motivate the students by providing sports equipment to participate in the sports. Parents, teachers and students are very happy with the activities done at the school by S&P Capital IQ

Radhika Chunchu (Project Leader): It is a great opportunity to every employee to serve the society .Thanks to MHFI for granting me this EVG project and the opportunity to provide the service to my School. Thanks a lot to S&P Capital IQ management for giving this opportunity. This is my first achievement in my life time with this EVG. School management, students and village people and friends are very happy about our company service (they had never seen before these Facilities). Thanks to all volunteers for supporting and spent their valuable time with this project on EVG day.

Venkata Rayala Peddi Raju: I felt very proud to serve for School which is located at rural area where very less access to the cities and children; they haven’t seen proper sports kit since ages. I felt very much moved by children happiness after they have received pure drinking water. I am very much thankful to MHFI Impact team.

Sreenivasulu Bandi: It was a great experience to spend the day with school children. I am thankful to the management of our organization for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve the society.
