About Community Impact
Month (Giving back is Essential)
McGraw-Hill Financial strongly believes in the motto, ‘Giving
back is essential’. It extends to giving back to the society. MHFI launched
this year Community Impact Month, in which 20+ employees will come together and
work for solving any public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per
project and employees will spend their personal time for the project. This year
S&P Capital IQ employees applied for 84 such projects. These employees work
tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to ‘Giving back is
essential’.

HIGHLIGHTS AT PHC-HATHNOORA
About PHC-
Hathnoora
Primary Health Centers play key role in serving health needs of
below poverty line rural people.
PHC-Hathnoora situated in Medak District, Hyderabad .
They treat around 60-70 outpatients per week, apart from regular
field visits in the rural areas.
PHC provides general out-patient consultation, and gynecologists
and delivery services.
Present
problems at PHC- Hathnoora
The PHC Hathnoora facing the problem of leakage of rain water
from the ceiling. Due to this there has been water accumulation in the
patient wards. There are cracks in the walls and the whitewashing is long due.
The building was in urgent need of a facelift. Moreover, there was no proper
toilet for the delivery patients. Most of the patients were poor and illiterate
women who cannot afford the facilities of a private hospital.
Volunteer
work done at PHC- Hathnoora
Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd.
conducted a CIM event at PHC- Hathnoora on July 7, 2014.
1. Repaired the overall leakages of the ceiling to prevent the
rain water into patient wards.
2. Repaired the Cracks in the walls of PHC
3. Repaired/replaced toilets and placed with western toilets.
4. Paintings and White washing the walls of PHC.
5. Purchased Mosquito Mesh for the windows to prevent from
outside insects.
6. Purchased Water Geyser for PHC.
7. Presentation on the importance of cleanliness to the
patients.
8. Cleaning and plantation at the PHC Premises.
9. Distribution of fruits to the patients.

Maddukuri:-Great opportunity to serve the society, very happy to be part of
this successful CIM event, Thankful to Prabhakar sir and S&P Capital IQ for
giving this opportunity to coordinate and lead this event, looking forward to
be part of many more and kudos to team for supporting and participation.
Ramesh
Chandra Bharadwaja Chakkilam:-The primary health care
center in Hatnoora is the only major hospital in the nearby 20 kilometers. Most
of the patients were poor and illiterate women who cannot afford the facilities
of a private hospital. This project will benefit people of Hatnoora and people
around the village.
Sateesh Kumar
Shetty:-Being a volunteer of CIM Project, first I would like to say my
special thanks to CIM Leader (i.e. Suresh) for successful completion of this
project and also for giving opportunity to serve the society. Making the basic
facilities available for the hospital authorities and patients, planting
saplings, and distribution of fruits, gave an immense pleasure for me, in this
CIM project.

Rao Kalavakuri:-
It is great to serve society for a good cause. It gave immense
pleasure to go and contribute to a healthcare facility in a remote area without
any facilities. I thank S&P Capital IQ for giving me this opportunity to
contribute.

Panda:-Really it was an excellent time when we are doing different
activates as fruit distribution, wall painting, cleaning medical premises,
plantation, giving basic lectures about cleaning impact and their health etc. I must mention my deep sense of appreciation
to Suresh for his Leadership in CIM Project. I am looking forward to be part of
many more projects.

Sivaraju Kottu:-
It was a wonderful opportunity to help the patients by
providing some extra facilities to them. The patients were very happy with our
interaction. I actively involved and enjoyed this opportunity along with all
other Volunteers. Looking forward to participate in the projects of this kind.
