About
Community Impact Month (Giving back is Essential)
Lead India 2020
Foundation (www.leadindia2020.com)
partnered with McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com) the company which strongly believes in the
motto, 'Giving back is essential'. It extends to giving back to the
society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in
which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public
problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees
spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital
IQ (part of MHFI group) (www.capitaliq.com)
employees applied for projects from various areas. Associates are working tirelessly
to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to 'Giving back is
essential'.
Current Problem:
There are many unemployed
youth out there repeatedly rejected by employers because of their knowledge
deficiency in practical finance, accounting, business and corporate aspects.
Rejection rate is more than 95%. The main reason for that is because of their non-exposure
to practical people and environment. They need some guidance about how to read,
gather and understand practical implementation of finance.
Solution:
Instead of regular class
room sessions, we can conduct an exhibition type knowledge show through picture
and graphic presentations, by using core competence of S&P Capital IQ
Employees
Methodology:
Divide all practical
topics of finance in to 15 chambers and with printed wall posters. Our
employees volunteer their personal time, with pre training on specific chamber
to explain practical concepts. We will invite beneficiaries on the basis of
prior invitation and they will pass chamber by chamber to understand practical
finance world.
Volunteer
work done at the Business, Finance, Capital Markets Knowledge Show:
Around 120+ volunteers participated in educating the unemployed
with Finance & Accounts topics and benefited 1000+ unemployed youth.
1. Covering all basics about Business, Finance & Capital Markets.
2. Enabling them to read and understand further deep in to topics.
3. Improving their “Employability Skills”
4. Guiding them about different career options available in finance and
capital markets
5. Building their self-confidence to pursue good career in Finance & Accounts
world
