Providing Sports Equipment to the Z.P.H. School, Kondapur, Hyderabad on 22nd Sept, 2014


About Community Impact Month (Giving back is Essential):-

McGraw-Hill Financial strongly believes in the motto, ‘Giving back is essential’. It extends to giving back to the society. MHFI launched this year Community Impact Month, in which 20+ employees will come together and work for solving any public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees will spend their personal time for the project. This year S&P Capital IQ employees applied for 84 such projects. These employees work tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to ‘Giving back is essential’.


HIGHLIGHTS AT Z.P.H. SCHOOL KONDAPUR, HYDERABAD

About Z.P.H. School, Kondapur,  Hyderabad

Ø  This is a Government High school facilitating 750 students studying from 6th to 10th classes.
Ø  It is situated at Kondapur in Hyderabad.
Ø  Around 750 students daily use this ground to play different games

Present problems at Z.P.H. School, Kondapur, Hyderabad

Right now, due to lack of facilities in this existing ground, most of the talented students are going to outside grounds for practicing purpose to participate in various district and state level competitions.

As per the communication from the school authorities they informed that due to lack of funds they are not able to provide the facilities to the students.

Volunteer work done at Z.P.H. School, Kondapur, Hyderabad

Keeping in mind these problems, S&P Capital IQ Hyd. conducted a CIM event at Z.P.H. School, Kondapur, Hyderabad on Sept 22nd, 2014

1)      Purchased sport items like Volley balls, Volley ball nets, Badminton rackets, Shuttle cocks, Whistles, Height measurement pole and Carrom board to the students.
2)      Purchased Compass boxes and Pen sets for the winners and runners of various games conducted on the day.
3)      Conducted Volley ball Competition for 9th and 10th class boys and girls separately.
4)      Conducted Kho-Kho Competition for 8th and 7th class boys and girls separately.
5)      Appreciated the students who voluntarily participated in various cultural activities (Singing and Speeches).
6)      Gifted the above students with Chocolates and Pen sets.

Impact of Volunteer work at Z.P.H. School, Kondapur, Hyderabad

After the CIM project, the school students along with staff have happy faces and broad smiles. Provision of these sports equipment made a difference as the aspiring students can utilize these facilities and practice more. Especially height measurement pole enable PET Master to analyse the height issues among the pupils and provide require guidance to them.

Durga Bhavani Bommali (Project Leader):-Very Happy to be a part of this project and special thanks to Prabhakar sir and Murali sir for giving us this opportunity to serve the society and help the aspiring students of the school. The team members support is wonderful. Thanks to the entire team for making this event a success and wish to work more for society. 

Naga Lakshmi Gunupudi (Project Co – Leader):-Privileged to be a part of this project and many thanks to Prabhakar sir and Murali sir for giving us the support and encouragement to conduct this event. It really brought big smiles on the faces of school students. Helping the society has given self satisfaction and looking forward to serve more projects like this.

Soujanya Koritala:-It is a very satisfactory experience which gave me immense pleasure to contribute to the society. I look forward to visiting more such projects in future. It really helped the talented students who are deprived of sports equipment.

Srinivasa Rao Kundeti:-Response of the school students is very awesome. Students played the games excellently and we all are spellbound. The experience is just awesome. This is possible only because of MHFI, thanks for giving me an opportunity to serve the society.

Venkata Jaga Prasad Karuturi:-Being a sports lover, I feel very much happy to be a part of this project as it cultivates the sporting spirit among the students. Provided quality sports equipment which indeed helps them to become a good sportsperson.

Siva Kumar Mallampalli:-I am very happy to be a part of this wonderful project, which allowed me to mingle with all the students. Working for this noble cause made me self content. Thanks to S&P Capital IQ for giving me this opportunity.


Feedback from GHMC Mini Sports Complex-KPHB, HYDERABAD

N. Lakshmi (Principal):-Thanks to S&P Capital IQ and sincere thanks to Prabhakar garu and  Murali garu for providing the necessary Sports equipment to our School students. Around 750 students will be benefited and they can practice in our school ground only. We are looking forward for more help from the organization. Thanks to the organizers and all the volunteers who gave motivational speeches which inspired our students.

K.Bikshapathy (PET Master):-As a PET Master, it is very essential to have proper sports equipment to train the students and make them good sportsperson. Ours is a Government school and we have some deficit in the funds and couldn’t arrange proper equipment for practice purpose. Our students are National and State level champions and participated in many competitions and won so many prizes. Through S&P Capital IQ, we got the sports equipment which is helpful for us to participate in many more competitions.  Thank you S&P Capital IQ and all the volunteers for your noble gesture.
