About Community Impact Month (Giving back is essential):-

Lead India 2020 Foundation (www.leadindia2020.org) partnered with McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ (part of MHFI group) (www.capitaliq.com) employees applied for projects from various areas. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to 'Giving back is essential'.

About ZPHS, Vattimarthy

Zilla Parishath High School, Vattimarthy is located in Nalgonda Distict, Chityalaa mandal, Vattimarthy Village, which is 80 KM from our Hyderabad Office. It’s running under State Govt. control. Around 153 students are studying in this school. School from classes VI to X.

Current problems at Vattimarthy Z.P. High School:

This school doesn’t have minimum basic needs like School Benches for students and staff, class room tables, staff chairs, black boards are also in bad condition and also it’s required to give note books to the school children.

Volunteers’ work:

1. Keeping the above in view, S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad has conducted a CIM project on 23rd June, 2014

2. Donated school benches.

3. Donated note books

4. Donated staff chairs.

5. Painted black boards.

6. Cleaned the school premises.

7. Donated sports material to students.

8. Conducted quiz to students

9. Conducted Career Guidance classes to students.

10. Conducted games and distributed prizes

With the provision of school benches students will be able to concentrate better on their studies

With awareness on career options students will now choose the area of their interest wisely

V.Satya Babu: McGraw Hill S&P Capital IQ. Career guidance programme was very good and useful to student’s children’s in the village have good talent and skill but lack of their vision on future and the career opportunities they are unable to grow. But this programme made the children’s to set their goals according to their interest and the area where they are having good knowledge.

V.Seenaiah: Career guidance programme is very much useful to the rural people.i request to conduct Career guidance programme even in the future forever. And I am very much thankful to the McGraw Hill S&P Capital IQ

P.V.N HARI KRISHNA: I feel very happy to be part of this noble cause to the society. Career guidance programme is one of the best activities in this project. Students and teachers are very much happy and they learnt so many things form this programme.Taken the oath from students to be responsible towards the society and nation.

T.VENKATA RAMA RAVI: I feel very happy for participating as the volunteer for the ZPHS VATTIMARTHY. For giving the opportunity for us am thankful to our company. Had the feeling in my heart to do service to the society but due to family responsibilities and other avigation I could not do as single. But today I feel vary happy for the time spend with the children’s and volunteering in this noble cause.it”s a memorable day in my life. by this programme children in the villages will have future career opportunities and they can achieve the goals of professional life.

A.SRINIVAS.\PRASAD\SIVA: Thanks to Upendra sir and to our company for giving this wonderful opportunity to participate in this GVD programme .It was a joyous experience with ciq family. Thanks to harikrishna and Kishore to share their experience relating to career guidance. We had a great day with high school students by conducting games, quiz and plantation.

Career guidance programme and class room benches serve the great need the school is having.Childrens in the school was very much satisfied with our gvd project besides learning. The good amount of knowledge in the career guidance programme.

Ravindra Babu Ravi: Words cannot even begin to describe my experience. I’m thankful to our company management to encourage in conducting various GVD programs. Spending time with Students and doing something for them is a fabulous job. Neither they nor we wouldn’t forget what we experienced on that day. The entire school children’s participated in various games and enjoyed a lot. Career guidance program is an added advantage to this GVD problem and really helped out to the students and now they have a clear vision on their career. This project made the children more confirmable, by getting the class room benches, sports material, note books and tables, and can concentrate on the studies. It would have added some more colour to the program, if the Village heads also participated in the program. The overall program was very wonderful and created a value to the school as compare to THE DAY BEFORE AND AFTER GVD.
