Update about the service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ, www.spcapitaliq.com, Hyderabad - (Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial www.mhfi.com )

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 3+ employees would be working together for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $1000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group) employees applied for projects from various areas of the Nation to serve the society under Employee Volunteer Grant (EVG).

Project Location: Z.P.H. School, Inimetla Village, Rajupalem Mandal, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India
About the Project:  Z.P.H. School Inimetla is located in Guntur District, Rajupalem Mandal, which is 205 KM from our Hyderabad Office. It’s running under State Govt. control. This is recently upgraded from upper primary school to High school and more than 250+ students are studying in this School. All the students are originated from agriculturists and daily labor families.
This School doesn’t have minimum infrastructure facilities like benches, library, reference/motivational books, selves to keep the school documents, sports material and sufficient tables & chairs for classrooms. If we conduct the EVG project here by providing some facilities and motivating the students, this school will become better equipped and can bring out the better results.

Activity: Volunteers gathered information suitable to the knowledge of students to train them in various leadership qualities to add value to their life and delivered those points on EVG day in small interactive groups. Volunteers handed over the benches to the school staff and distributed the sports material. Volunteers involved in the cleaning the premises and planted the saplings.

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.60,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2.       Providing School Benches for the High School Students
3.       Books donation to School library (No library so far)
4.       Distribute Sports Material.
5.       Conduct Career guidance program
6.       College premises cleaning.
7.       Plantation of saplings.

Impact:
Now the 10th and 9th Class students will not sit on the floor, they learn the new paths to reach the goals, and motivated very much from the career guidance programs conducted by me and volunteers, and they can have the motivational and inspirational books to refer. Parents, teachers and students are feeling happy with the motivational activities done at the school by S&P Capital IQ.

FEEDBACK OF THE VOLUNTEERS:
Veeraiah Bandla (Project Leader): - This is my 1st EVG project as a lead. It is a great opportunity to serve the society & that to birthplace. Very happy to be part of this successful EVG Project. I have attended more than 7 CIM projects so far as volunteer and first EVG as Leader. Tremendous response from the school management and village management committee. Yes, truly it is a great experience. I am surprised to offer me and privileged to hoist the national flag. The arrangements are simply superb. My personal thanks to School management, Anuradha madam - Trustee, Sri Shirdi Sai Seva Trust
I am very much Thankful to S&P Capital IQ Management for giving me this opportunity to coordinate and lead this event. Looking forward to be part of many more events, and kudos to the entire team for supporting me in this event and for their enthusiastic participation.

Badraiah Karnati: -It was a nice experience to spend the day with school children. I am thankful to the management of our organization for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve the society.

Nagesh Kumar .T (Head master): -With the help of Sri Shirdi Sai Seva Trust, S&P Capital IQ employees have supported the School by providing library books, twenty classroom benches and sports equipment. We are very much thankful to S&P Capital IQ for their helping hands and support even our school is far away from the actual office location which is in Hyderabad.
