About Community Impact Month (Giving back is Essential)

Lead India 2020 Foundation (www.leadindia2020.org) partnered with McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. It extends to giving back to the society. This year MHFI has launched Community Impact Month (CIM) in which 20+ employees would be working together and for solving public problems in their community. MHFI grants $2000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ (part of MHFI group) (www.capitaliq.com) employees applied for projects from various areas. These employees are working tirelessly to fulfill the motto and render true meaning to 'Giving back is essential'.

Feedback of the CIM Volunteers

Suresh Manthri (Leader): I am very happy that I got an opportunity to serve the society through my company. The credit for the success of this project goes to the volunteers and CIQ management, who approved and supported this project from the word go. I am satisfied and had an enriching experience in my life with this project. This is one of the memorable movements. I hope moments like will continue to come.

Sridhar Gajula (Co-Leader): Serving the children with the volunteers is a good and memorable experience. The school teachers are patient and pleasant natured. They are motivating to students participate in all the activities. I am surprised that many of the students in the school participated and won medals in national and state level games as well as in other Cultural activities. It was pleasing to know that some of the school’s Old Students are pursuing B. Tech from IIIT from the school.  Some of these students are earning money applying their vocation traning. My sincere Thanks to Narsaiah Sir (Buddhist), a retired teacher and self social volunteer, who worked hard to improve the greenery of the school. He is a source of inspiration for all of us. My special thanks Suresh Manthri for providing me an opportunity to co-lead this project and to all the participants for their energy and support.

Rajasekhar Puppala: This CIM project is different compared to other CIM projects. My sincere thanks to Suresh Manthri, the project leader, for providing me the opportunity to serve mentally challenged students. I appreciate the efforts of fellow voluntaries, who became part of this noble cause.

Uttar Deshpande: The teachers of Sathya Sai Trust School have proven that "Service to the Human being is service to the god". They them self are not less than gods. They have oceans of patience and kindness to look after the children who are abandoned by the society and even more horribly by their own parents. I feel proud of what we have done through the "CIM" to the society. Through this visit i truly believe to the phrase "Giving back is essential". My special thanks to Suresh Mantri who has given this opportunity.

Santhosh Akula: It is a wonderful experience to serve the mentally challenged people. Serving the mentally challenged people require more patience and the school staff has that in abundance. They are treating the students as their own children. Really hats off to the school staff. My sincere thanks to the management and special thanks to Suresh for giving me this opportunity to serve the people.

Prashanth Gunda: It was a wonderful experience that I ever had. I am happy that I was able to spend quality time with mentally challenged students and orphan boys. I am really happy that I could take part in such a wonderful event.

Sandeep Kumar Nalikela: It was incredible fun playing games with the children The enthusiasm they all showed in taking part in the games was infectious. It felt good to invest a little time for them and give back. The team was awesome as well, and I’d definitely be looking forward to being part of more such volunteer initiatives in the future.

Laxmi Narasimha Raja Rama: The innocent eyes which were looking at us, the excited hand waves, and the shouts and laughs of the children gave us a really nice feeling. We should continue to support those mentally challenged students through our CIM projects.
