the service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ, www.spcapitaliq.com, Hyderabad - (Business
unit of McGraw Hill Financial www.mhfi.com )
About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com ), the company which strongly
believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees
to work for service projects in which 3+ employees would be working together for
solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities.
MHFI grants $1000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project.
This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group) employees applied for
projects from various areas of the Nation to serve the society under Employee
Volunteer Grant (EVG).
Project Location: M.P.U.P. School, Lambadipally Village, Malaya Mandal, Karimnagar
District, Telangana, India
About the Project: M.P.U.P. School Lambadipally Village of Malaya Mandal,
Karimnagar District is with 109 students. All the students are the children of
poor and daily labor families. There are no required facilities at the school.
If we provide some of the basic amenities through this EVG project, it would
help the children to study well and develop.

Project Leader: Thirupathi Kommanaboina
Activity: Volunteers provided career guidance to 8th class students,
conducted swatch bharath at school premises, conducted quiz competition, and
provided Computer, school benches, sports material, and mike set to school.
Date & Time: 14th Feb, 2016 from 9 AM to 5 PM
Number of Volunteers: 5
Highlights:
1. MHFI provided Rs.60, 000
for procuring materials and expenses for the project
2. Volunteers given brief
introduction about Capital IQ and EVG Program
3. Handed over computer,
benches, note books, sports material, & mike set to school
4. Conducted career guidance
program to students
5. Conducted quiz
competition and games
6. Conducted swatch bharath
at school premises.
Impact:
Now the
students will not sit on the floor, they learn the new paths to reach the
goals, and motivated very much from the career guidance programs conducted by
me and volunteers. Parents, teachers and students are feeling happy with this
service activity done at the school by S&P Capital IQ.

opportunity to lead the project in this year and I also thank the entire group
of volunteers who have coordinated and supported me to make this event a great
