Update about the service project conducted by employees of S&P Capital IQ, www.spcapitaliq.com, Hyderabad - (Business unit of McGraw Hill Financial www.mhfi.com )

About Community Impact Program: McGraw-Hill Financial (www.mhfi.com ) the company which strongly believes in the motto, 'Giving back is essential'. MHFI encourages its employees to work for service projects in which 3+ employees would be working together for solving public problems in their community to build better lives and stronger communities. MHFI grants $1000 per project and employees spend their personal time on the project. This year S&P Capital IQ, Hyderabad (part of MHFI group) employees applied for projects from various areas of the Nation to serve the society under Employee Volunteer Grant (EVG).

Project Location: Z.P. High School, Rajavolu, Cherukupalli Mandal, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India
About the Project:  Z.P. High School is located in Rajavolu Village which is 380 KM from our Hyderabad Office. This School has more than 200 students and all the students are from handcraft, agriculture and daily labor families. This School doesn’t have minimum infrastructure facilities like benches, Drinking water, sports material and sufficient tables & chairs for classrooms. They have to sit in the classroom on the floor only to attend the classes.

Activity: Facilitating Benches to the students, providing sports material, Distributing books and conducting career guidance program to the students.
Date & Time: 23rd Nov, 2015 from11am to 5pm
Number of Volunteers: 3

Highlights:
1.       MHFI provided Rs.60,000 for procuring material and expenses for the project
2.       Volunteers are Handover furniture and sports kit to school children and staff.
3.       Cleaning of school premises
4.       Provided Career Guidance to the students.
5.       Conducted Games to the school children and Distributed prizes to the winners.

Impact:
Through this project, now the students can sit on the benches and able to pay attention for their classes. And also we could motivate the students by providing sports equipment to participate in the sports. Parents, teachers and students are very happy with the activities done at the school by S&P Capital IQ.

This is my first achievement in my life time with this EVG. Thanks to all volunteers for supporting and spending their valuable time with this project on EVG day.
Mahesh Uppalapati:  I have joined this organization 3 months back .With in this period I got opportunity to participate in this EVG. I have enjoyed a lot by participating in our school as a part of this EVG.
Yugandhar Rao Janam:  With a Great service and humanity MHFI is conducting these activities. Thanks for selecting me as a volunteer. This is a wonderful experience to spend my time for these activities at our school as part of EVG.
