Project Location: Patel Chervu Thanda Village, Manchal Mandal, Rangareddy District, Telangana, India.

About the Project: This is a government run school in which 285+ students are undergoing studies. Even though students possess energy and intelligence to get in to good career, they could not get in to that because of knowledge on the Nutrition and its impact on the human body. Also they don’t have proper furniture to concentrate on education. Making contribution in these 2 areas will make significant change in their life.

Project Leader: Raja Chary Kesarapu

Activity: Volunteers took guidance from nutrition experts and designed food charts that are beneficial to growing children along with list of foods that are in affordable prices. On CIM day volunteers gathered parents in the school and explained food charts and gave them food advice for their children. They also provided nutritious samples to the children on that day. Volunteers also provided furniture for facilitating comfort seating of the children.

1.       MHFI provided Rs.120,000 for procuring materials and expenses for the project

2.       Provided guidance related to Nutrition Tips to the parents and students

5.       White washing done to the school premises along with new name plate

6.       Cleaning the premises

7.       Provided Sports material to students

8.       Conducting quiz and essay writing sessions to students.

9.       Career Guidance classes to students.

10.   Conducted games and distributed prizes

Impact:

There are 285+ students currently enrolled in the school. They got inspiration from volunteers to concentrate on their studies about eating nutritious food and by setting clear goals to learn and grow. In addition to that school got better equipped with good facilities.

M.Laxman: We are very happy for the services and the contribution that we received from the S&P capital IQ and Team. Our students did not have benches to sit and they were felling very sad and shame for sitting on the floor earlier. Now with the benches that you have provided they are also happy. The volunteers conducted quiz and various competitions which motivated to student to build team spirit. The plantation of saplings made the students to understand the value of trees. About the Project: GPS, Goshamahal is a government school run for educating underprivileged students. In Goshamahal area some parents prefer their children go work rather than to school so that they can earn extra income for their family. This causes illiteracy, poverty as well as some social issues when child grows up.  This needs intervention of well-wishers of the society to educate parents and this school also lacks various basic facilities like proper furniture and sports equipment to engage students

Activity: Volunteers need to gather data of various school drop outs and go to door to door and meet them, discuss and understand reasons for their discontinuation and guide them on how their short term efforts will lead for better future. In addition to that they will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school to attract and students retain in school. They also will motivate students to dream big and achieve big.

Under this project, we donated Scholl Benches and Sports Kit to the School, and have motivated students towards reaching goals and a good human being. We also planted saplings in the School ground. Project Location: S.S.S.M.H. School, Prashanth Nagar, Sangareddy, Medak District, Telangana, India

About the Project: This is a Saraswathi charitable school run for educating underprivileged students and lacks various basic facilities like proper furniture and sports equipment to engage students. Also there is lack of education facilities to learn on computer labs. They are unaware about value of education and how it can support their survival. Volunteers can bring that awareness among them with various works. Sri Saraswathi shishu mandir, Prashanth Nagar society is a service organization affiliated to “Akhila Bharathiya Shiksha Samsthan” working for throughout the country. This school has class I to X which consists of 250+ students. We are promoting Education, Cultural values, Patriotism and for national integrity among the students. As a scientific approach the medium of instruction is mother tongue Telugu, but rapid change of Parental trend for English medium schools, we are started English medium classes from nursery for which we are failing for infrastructure facilities for students.

Activity: Volunteers will gather information suitable to the knowledge of students to train them in various leadership qualities to add value to their life and deliver those points on CIM day in small interactive groups. In addition to that they will arrange furniture and sports equipment to school. They also will motivate students to dream big and achieve big.

Project Location: Government Primary School, Sriram Nagar, Hyderabad.

About the Project: Sriramnagar Government Primary School (and Anganvadi center) has 600+ students (including three mediums – Telugu, English and Urdu). The school has no name board. Due to their unawareness they are not maintaining the school premises properly. The school walls are dirty and they do not have proper water facilities too. They do not have plates to have mid-day meals.

Activity: Whitewashing the school, painting the blackboards, creating awareness of cleanliness by taking classes to the students, providing electric water motor for proper water facilities, washroom repairs, cleaning the school premises and providing plates for mid-day meals.

Project date & time: 27th June, 2015 & 9 am to 4 pm

Number of Volunteers: 15

Highlights:

1.       Interacting with the students and creating awareness of cleanliness and its importance.

2.       Cleaning the school premises.

3.       Painting the blackboards.

4.       Donating sports kit, plates and other useful materials to school.

5.       Conducting games and distributing prizes.

Impact:

Good surroundings and facilities create good learning environment. 600+ students benefited. They will get awareness of cleanliness and its importance. The school won’t face any water problems in near future. The school will better equip with good facilities.

Rashmi Sharma: I felt extremely happy to be a part of CIM project. Our project leader and volunteers contributed so well in carrying out project activities, which included white washing of school, blackboard painting, conducting games for students, teaching, and finally distributing plates and books. As we say, education is every child’s birth right. In true sense, S&P Capital IQ is making efforts for almost every underprivileged student to get education with better facilities and in proper environment via its CIM projects. S&P Capital IQ gave me an opportunity to work for a social cause.

Bhargav Tummala: Volunteering does make a difference- slowly but surely. Just go for it. You will make great friends, see new places, learn different cultures, have a sense of achievement and make a difference.

Savitha Prasad Bhuvanendra: I have been part of various corporate social responsibility initiatives earlier and the experience is always overwhelming. But the difference we made this time to these kids will always standout in my memories. My biggest take away from this event was their energy and sportsmanship which made me feel what we have long forgotten as grown-up’s. BIG THANKS to our Captain and Co-Captain for arranging all the logistics so well and making the whole experience joyful for us as well as the wonderful kids and teachers. Please count me in for all your future projects.

Laxminarayana Upadhya: Thank you and it was really wonderful time and experience. Appreciate each and every thing which is organized as part of this project. I have really enjoyed had good time volunteering for all the day and kids were amazing.
